Leadership Transition at Roche Diagnostics Canada

LAVAL, QC - June 30, 2026 - Roche Canada today announces that Matheus Vieira, currently President & General Manager of Roche Diagnostics Canada, will assume a new global leadership position as Global Commercialisation Strategy Leader, Obesity and  Metabolism at Roche Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, effective July 1, 2026.

Over the past three years, Matheus has demonstrated a deep passion for bringing innovation to life, tirelessly advocating for healthcare solutions to reach all patients, regardless of where they live. He leaves a legacy of immense impact on patients: 1 in 4 benefits from our diagnostics innovations in diagnostics. Under his leadership, the affiliate fostered a high-engagement culture, achieved record growth, and collaborated closely with healthcare stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of high-medical-value solutions for as many Canadians as possible.

While the search for a permanent successor is underway, Michele D’Elia, currently Executive Director, Medical, Access and Policy will also serve as Interim General Manager to ensure a seamless transition.
