Statement: Roche Canada response to COVID-19


MISSISSAUGA, ON, March 13, 2020 - At Roche, our priority is the health and safety of our employees, colleagues, business partners and most importantly, the patients we serve. Our leadership team has been carefully monitoring the rapidly-changing situation and came to the decision that effective Monday, March 16 and until further notice, all Roche Canada employees (on-site and field-based) across our Pharmaceutical, Diagnostics and Diabetes Care divisions, whose jobs can be done remotely, are required to work from home.


Further, all travel – domestic and international – is limited to business critical activities only. All meetings will be held virtually, where possible, or re-scheduled.


While we have no suspected or reported cases of coronavirus among our on-site or field colleagues, we have taken this important step in order to reduce the risk that anyone may contract or inadvertently spread the virus.


Importantly, we also recognize our vital role in delivering critical products and support to Canadian customers and patients, and we need to take the necessary precautions to protect employees to ensure business continuity.


We thank all our employees, customers, and stakeholders for their support and cooperation. We will continue to closely monitor the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and follow the guidance provided by public health officials, and will adjust, if appropriate.
