West Nile virus

Hepatitis B & C virus and Human Immunodeficiency virus

The cobas® TaqScreen MPX test and the cobaTaqScreen WNV test are the first of a family of assays for use on the cobas s 201 system. The cobas s 201 system is also enabled for future 4-channel, “multi-dye” detection technology – real-time virus discrimination in multiplex PCR.

Roche has developed the assays that run on the cobas s 201 system with safety in mind. They have the most comprehensive viral genotype coverage to ensure viral detection in donations, no matter where the donors reside or where they have visited.

cobas® TaqScreen WNV test

A NAT test using real-time PCR technology, the cobas® TaqScreen WNV test is used to screen for West Nile virus (WNV) RNA.

  • Signal detection in two separate channels enables you to simultaneously monitor the viral target and full process internal control during real-time PCR, helping to ensure result integrity.
  • Reagents are stored in the fridge – no freezers required. This means they’re ready to use, saving you time and ensuring you’re always ready to test.
  • Health Canada approved.

cobas® TaqScreen MPX test

mpx_test

The most comprehensive NAT test, the cobas® TaqScreen MPX test for HIV, HCV and HBV represents the standard for multiplex testing.

  • Simultaneously tests for multiple viruses in one sample, saving you time and increasing your efficiency:
    • HIV-1 Group M
    • HIV-1 Group O
    • HIV-2
    • HCV
    • HBV
