General Criteria
Pharmaceuticals and Diagnostics Divisions
Our Community Relations efforts have a broad alignment to our organization as a healthcare company. We will consider charitable organizations that meet one or more of the following criteria:
•Help the disadvantaged
•Supportive care
•Health and learning initiatives
•Canadian-based organizations
•Community based, but nationally if possible
•Projects that add real value
Due to the volume of requests that are made to Roche Canada, there are certain activities and organizations that are not eligible for funding support:
•Groups not approved by Revenue Canada as registered charitable organizations
•Projects or pursuits that are the initiatives of individuals inside or outside of the company
•Political campaigns or political candidates
•Capital campaigns for facilities and infrastructure - so-called 'bricks and mortar'
•Advocacy groups of a religious, political or economic nature
•Any organizations that are affiliated with any discriminatory practices or policies based on race, creed, gender, age, sexual preference or national origin
•Groups with an organizational management centre outside of Canada
•Duplicated direct or indirect donations that are already a part of corporate effort
•Sports and entertainment events
•Gala events whose sole purpose would be public relations
